Undergraduate Scholarship

OVERVIEW

Eligibility:

  1. Applicant must be a graduating female high school student entering an accredited college in the U.S.

  2. This scholarship is being offered to those only pursuing a degree in Construction (i.e. Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, etc.).

  3. Student must enroll as a full-time student to receive award.

Requirements:

  1. Applicant is responsible for ensuring all items below are submitted to the NAWIC Scholarship Committee and received no later than May 1, 2026. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  2. Complete, signed application.

  3. Two written recommendations.

    1. - One submitted from a teacher

    2. - One submitted as a personal recommendation

  4. Official transcript of grades.

Awards:

  1. Scholarship is non-renewable.

  2. Applications will be reviewed, and the Scholarship Committee of the Capital District Chapter #261 of NAWIC will select the winner. The Committee will consider the applicant’s interest in construction, grades, extra-curricular activities, employment experience and written recommendations.

  3. All applicants selected as semi-finalists will be subject to a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee.
